Participate in ANNA's Specialty Practice Networks (SPNs)

ANNA is pleased to announce an exciting change that will enhance the functioning of what we once called Special Interest Groups (SIGs), now called Specialty Practice Networks (SPNs). Through ANNA Connected, SPN members are automatically subscribed to SPN eGroups that connect them with other members with the same interests. You’ll be "SPiNning" with the valuable information you’ll receive. The SPNs have tapped into the excellent specialty practice talent in our general membership. This means that educational opportunities, publications, and best practice tools will be better tailored to meet your needs. You also can ask and get real-time answers to specialty-related questions from expert SPN members across the country. You will be able to easily provide direct input that will be used in planning the educational opportunities, publications, and best practice tools for our members. You will have the opportunity to volunteer your help on small or large projects as well as network with experts in the field. To join a SPN, simply click here. (If you are not logged in, you will be prompted to do so.) Then, click on Edit/Add next to SPN Participation. To join more than one SPN, simply hold down the Control key.

Reshaping ANNA for the Future ~ Proposed Changes to ANNA's Governance Structure

To more effectively represent our membership and to advance the practice of nephrology nursing, ANNA is reconsidering its basic governance structure. The regional governance structure has served the Association well for more than 30 years, but we feel now is the time to move to a national governance structure, with each member of the Board of Directors being elected nationally. During the 2012-2013 elections, members will have the opportunity to vote on proposed revisions to ANNA's Bylaws that would change the Association's governance structure. Click below for more information about the evolution of the proposal to move to a nationally based governance structure and the implications for the future.
