ANNA Members: Register Now for Free Educational Telecast on L-Carnitine
ANNA is pleased to invite members to participate in a FREE educational telecast entitled L-Carnitine: Physiology and Clinical Application in Dialysis, offering 1.25 continuing nursing education (CNE) credits. Developed with an unrestricted educational grant from Sigma Tau, this CNE program will address the many facets of L-carnitine, the physiological alterations caused by chronic kidney disease and dialysis, and the potential benefits of carnitine supplementation. The telecast will be offered to ANNA members on two dates: April 8 at 8:30 pm Eastern (5:30 Pacific) and April 13 at 7:00 pm Eastern (4:00 Pacific). Please note that you will need high speed Internet access to participate in this event. Each telecast is limited to 500 attendees. Register now to save your seat!

Free CNE Credit Available in ANNA's Online Library
Each month ANNA offers a new selected educational session from its 2009 Fall Meeting for which members can earn FREE continuing nursing education (CNE) credit. This month's featured session is “Albumin: More Than a Number.” Presented by Debbie Benner, MA, RD, CSR, this educational program focuses on the physiology of albumin production and metabolism and the significance to patients with chronic kidney disease and their nutrition. ANNA members can listen to the live recording of the session, view the accompanying presentation materials, and earn CNE online – all for FREE. ANNA’s Pediatric SIG Develops Assessment Tool for Pediatric Patients
ANNA’s Pediatric Special Interest Group (SIG) has developed a comprehensive interdisciplinary patient assessment tool designed for use with pediatric patients. According to the Conditions for Coverage for End-Stage Renal Disease Facilities issued by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), facilities must complete a comprehensive interdisciplinary patient assessment on all new patients. Facilities may incorporate this tool to meet the CMS regulations. Click below to download the tool.

ANNA's 2010 Fall Meeting for Nephrology Nurses, Managers, and Advanced Practice Nurses will be held October 9-11 at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. Call for Proposals, Abstracts for ANNA’s 42nd National Symposium (March 27-30, 2011 ~ Boston, MA)
ANNA's 42nd National Symposium will be held 27-30, 2011, at the Sheraton Boston & Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA. The Program Committee has issued a Call for Proposals and a Call for Abstracts for the symposium. The deadline for submission of proposals is May 24, 2010, and the abstract submission deadline is October 11, 2010. Click below for more information.

Educational sessions from ANNA’s 2009 Fall Meeting are now available online. Held October 9-11 in Lake Buena Vista, FL, the Fall Meeting featured educational content for nephrology nurses, managers, and advanced practice nurses. ANNA’s Online Library features the live recording of educational sessions, accompanying presentation materials, and the opportunity to earn continuing nursing education (CNE) credit for sessions not already attended. All Fall Meeting registrants have unlimited free access to the Fall Meeting Library for 1 full year! If you were unable to attend the Fall Meeting, you can purchase access to the meeting presentations in the Online Library and earn CNE credit (fees apply).
