No. The CCHT-A credential can only be obtained by taking and passing the CCHT-A certification examination.

I've been a tech for 20 years CCHT for as long as it's been required. Was wondering what the benefit is to taking the CCHT-A exam as a tech in Illinois. Does it pay more? Are there more responsibilities? I work for Fresenius Medical Care. If that makes a difference.
