COVID-19 Recertification Grace Period

For healthcare professionals directly impacted by the COVID-19 crisis, NNCC is offering 6-month grace period to meet recertification requirements with no penalty. Receiving the grace period is as simple as downloading and submitting the signed Grace Period Acknowledgement form along with your recertification application once requirements are met. Please download and review the form today so that you may understand the terms of the grace period, and then submit a signed copy of the form along with your recertification application to apply the grace period to your recertfication.

PLEASE NOTE: This grace period will not extend your certification period, but will allow up to 6-months past your 2020 certification expiration date to meet recertification requirements, if needed, due to COVID-19.

Issuance of Certificate

If approved for recertification, an updated wallet card with the new expiration date will be mailed within 60 days of the date the National Office receives the recertification application. Final receipt of an updated wallet card after recertification will depend upon actual date mailed, the recipient's mailing address, and postal delivery times. Replacements are available for a fee.

As of January 2004, a wall certificate is issued only once. Wall certificates do not have an expiration date and will not be automatically reissued for subsequent recertifications.

Keep Your Information Current

It is the applicant's responsibility to notify the NNCC National Office of any changes in name, address, email, and phone number for the duration of their certification/recertification period. Notifications of changes on other mailing lists such as ANNA may not effect a change in your recertification records.
