Hungarian Nephrology Conference:
NNCC’s Amy Perry Presents
NNCC Members On The Move: Amy Perry MSN, APRN, BC, CNN-NP, recently presented at the Hungarian Nephrology Congress. Sharing insights on the role today’s Nephrology Nurse Practitioners (NPs) in the United States, Amy reinforced the impact and contribution of NPs in everything from kidney patient education to care of CKD patients on the kidney transplant spectrum. Amy shares: NPs being used in Nephrology is a new concept in Hungary and they were very amazed at the roles that we have here in the United States.

NNCC invites you to participate in an important survey regarding the role of the dialysis technician. This important survey will be used to be sure the contents of the CCHT and CCHT-A certification examinations are current. In addition to surveying technicians, we need input from nurse educators,

clinical managers, charge nurses, and preceptors to add to the validity of the findings. NNCC is offering a chance to win $1,500 in Amazon gift cards! Thirty $50 gift cards will be awarded randomly to 30 participants who complete this survey! The survey will take about 45 minutes to complete. Please share this link with our coworkers – certified or non-certified!

NNCCs Water for Dialysis Program: What's in your Water?
NNCC’s Water for Dialysis Program, What’s in your Water? is a learning activity provided by NNCC to help participants obtain knowledge and competency concerning water treatment for dialysis. Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:
 
• Identify the components of the dialysis water system including their purposes, monitoring requirements, and patient safety considerations.

• Explain how water-related clinical problems occur, are identified, and can be prevented.
• Discuss the elements of the CMS water survey that ensure compliance with safety.

Great News: Upon completion, a certificate will be provided awarding a four-contact hour credit to be used towards NNCC certification or recertification continuing education requirements.
