Changes Made for CNN-NPs

The CNN-NP Board made two new recommendations to the Commission for approval. Based on the information supplied by that Board, the Commissioners approved these important modifications. First, a change in the number of clinical hours required for CNN-NP recertification was approved. One thousand hours over 5 years will be needed; this is to be congruent with the clinical requirements for national nurse practitioner (NP) recertification.

Participants learn via on the job training under very qualified individuals. Members of the Test Committees travel two times a year (leave home Friday and return home the following Monday) with travel expenses paid by NNCC.
