CNN-NP Computer Based Exam

Effective immediately computer based testing (CBT) is available for nurse practitioners applying to take the Certified Nephrology Nurse - Nurse Practitioner Exam (CNN-NP). To notify the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC) please indicate "CBT" on the line marked "Exam city and state." As with all other NNCC exams, a paper/pencil version will also be available as requested.

NNCC Commissioner Opportunities

The Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC) is seeking three commissioners to begin service spring 2013. NNCC commissioners must attend three commission meetings per year and the ANNA National Symposium. A commissioner serves for two years and can be renewed two times for a maximum of six consecutive years of service. Change in Work Hour Criteria for CDN and CNN Exams

In the summer of 2011, the Commission members changed the work hours required to be eligible to take the CNN exam and in the work hours required for recertification for the CDN and CNN exams. As of 08-01-2012, the work hours required to be eligible to take the CNN exam have been increased to a minimum of 3000 hours working as a nephrology nurse during the three (3) years prior to submission of the exam application.
