NNCC is soliciting photographs of certified staff in clinical settings. These photos may be used for NNCC booth displays and the NNCC website. All photos submitted must be accompanied by a completed permission form. Any patients who are photographed must also complete any permission forms required by the dialysis unit or clinical institution. Submit your photos directly to NNCC at kimm@ajj.com or via mail to the NNCC National Office, 200 East Holly Avenue, Sewell, NJ 08080.

Effective November 1, 2006 for all CNN and CDN certificants due to recertify beginning November 1, 2009 only candidates pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing full time: 1) will be eligible to waive the work requirement and this exception will be approved for only one recertification period; and 2) may apply all academic coursework in lieu of nephrology nursing continuing education for only one recertification period.

For CNN's who recertify by continuing education, only the 45 hours of nephrology nursing content from approved providers will now be required. Because this change represents a decrease in the required contact hours, it is effective immediately. The 60-hour requirement, which could include up to 15 hours of general nursing content, is no longer in effect.
